Beta-Alanine turns into Carnosine. Carnosine in working muscles comes from Beta-Alanine. The good scientists at NAI call their brand of Beta-Alanine CarnoSyn® Carnosine Synthesizer. Strenduro Formula 456 is made exclusively with NAI’s CarnoSyn® Carnosine Synthesizer.
Overseas manufacturers can synthesize large lots of the carnosine chemical and give it in a capsule, but that will have essentially no biochemical benefit to the athlete. The reason is that carnosine itself gets degraded in the digestive process, slowly reduced back to constituent amino acids beta-alanine and histidine. The eventual degraded carnosine’s beta-alanine arrives at the muscle slowly in low concentration and does not immediately become forced into carnosine again.
Once muscle receives a large bulk of Beta-Alanine at once from diet, it becomes the committed step on the biochemical path to becoming usable Carnosine. Supplemented Beta-Alanine theoretically drives additional carnosine synthesis by mass-action.
